A stylist with an eye for affordable fashion has created a stunning spring outfit for $42 with pieces from Kmart.

Tina Abeysekara, 34, on Sunday shared three photos with her 109,000 Instagram followers, revealing a 'head to toe' look pulled entirely from the discount department store.

It consists of a $20 button-front shirt, an $18 floral maxi-skirt and a pair of $4 slides that look almost identical to the iconic $980 'Oran' sandals from French fashion house, Hermes.

Photos of the bargain ensemble drew delighted responses after they were posted online, with comments including 'gorgeous', 'you look beautiful' and 'love the white shirt'.

'So lovely. I have this shirt in the white and pink! Obsessed,' one woman replied.

Another living under Melbourne's draconian coronavirus restrictions bemoaned that she is still forbidden from travelling more than five kilometres from her home - a limit which has prevented her from shopping at Kmart since July.

'OMG I want to go to Kmart (cries in five kilometre radius),' she wrote.

Ms Abeysekara's outfit proves that fashion forward style is possible on a shoestring budget, and she's not the only blogger capitalising on the trend.
